Universite Bourgogne Europe Eiffel Scholarship 2027 in France (Fully Funded)
Updated 3 November 2026
Open
The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship is the French government's flagship award for top international students. It is funded by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and managed by Campus France. You cannot apply to Campus France yourself. A French university must nominate you.
Université Bourgogne Europe (UBE) in Dijon is now accepting Eiffel applications from international students who want to start a master's degree in September 2027.
What the scholarship covers
- A monthly allowance of about EUR 1,181 for living costs
- A return flight to France
- Health insurance
- Help with housing and cultural activities through Campus France
Tuition is not covered by Eiffel, but tuition at French public universities is low.
Eligible fields at UBE (master's only)
Science and Technology: Biology and Health, Ecological Transition, Mathematics and Digital, Engineering Sciences
Humanities and Social Sciences: History, French Language and Civilization, Law and Political Science, Economics and Management
UBE offers some master's programmes taught in English, as well as many taught in French.
At UBE the Eiffel call is for master's students. PhD candidates should contact the UBE research office.
Who can apply
- You are not a French citizen (dual French nationals are not eligible)
- You are aged 29 or under for the master's track
- You have an excellent academic record
- You are applying to a master's programme at UBE
- You have not already studied in France at master's level
How to apply
- Choose your master's programme from the UBE programme list.
- Email the programme coordinator. Say you want to apply for the Eiffel Scholarship, briefly explain your study plans and ask which documents they need. Common ones are a CV, cover letter, transcripts and diplomas.
- Forward the coordinator's approval to the International Office. They will send you the application link and a checklist.
- Submit all documents by 4 December 2026.
- Apply for admission to the master's programme separately. An Eiffel application does not replace your admission application.
UBE then sends its selected candidates to Campus France before 6 January 2027. Campus France usually publishes results in March or April.
Deadline
4 December 2026 (university deadline)
Tips
- Contact the programme coordinator early. Without their approval you cannot move to the next step.
- Make your cover letter specific: explain why this programme at UBE fits your goals and what you will do after.
- Have your transcripts translated into English or French if needed.
