Yeungnam University PSPS Master’s Scholarship 2027 in South Korea

Yeungnam University in South Korea is offering scholarships for international students to study a master's degree at its Park Chung Hee School of Policy and Saemaul (PSPS), starting in March 2027.

What the scholarship covers

  • 100% tuition for all four semesters
  • Admission fee paid
  • Living allowance of ₩1,000,000 per month (about US$700) for the first 12 months, March 2027 to February 2028

Not covered: living costs after the first year, and health insurance. Insurance is mandatory: about ₩80,000 a month for National Health Insurance, plus ₩100,000 a year for private insurance.

  • Public Policy and Leadership
  • Forest and Environmental Policy. This one gives priority to applicants with backgrounds in natural sciences, agriculture, forestry or environmental engineering.

Who can apply

  • International applicants with a bachelor's degree in any field, or finishing one before the programme starts
  • Able to attend daytime classes in Korea
  • Government officials, professionals and recent graduates are all welcome

English requirement

  • IELTS 5.5, or TOEFL iBT 71, TOEIC 750, or CEFR B2
  • Exempt if your country's official language is English, or your bachelor's degree was taught in English and your university provides an official statement

Key dates

  • Online application and fee: 23 October 2026, 2:00 PM Korea time
  • Documents by email: 30 October 2026, 2:00 PM Korea time
  • Classes begin: 1 March 2027

Application fee

₩100,000 or US$80, non-refundable. You also pay any bank charges.

Documents

  • Application form, personal statement and statement of academic purpose (official forms)
  • Degree certificate (or expected graduation letter) and transcripts. These usually need an apostille or embassy authentication.
  • English test result or exemption proof
  • At least one recommendation letter
  • Passport copy
  • Parents' nationality documents and a birth certificate or family relationship document
  • Payment receipt

  1. Choose your programme on the PSPS website: https://psps.yu.ac.kr/psps/index.do
  2. Download the official forms and checklist from the admissions notice.
  3. Fill in the online application and pay the fee by 23 October 2026.
  4. Email your scanned documents, in checklist order, by 30 October 2026. Confirm the email address on the PSPS website.

Keeping the scholarship

You must get a B average or higher each semester, with no F grades. If not, you pay 30% of the next semester's tuition.

Tips

  • Start getting your documents authenticated now. Apostilles take time.
  • In your statement of purpose, link the programme to development or public policy work in your home country.
  • Submit a few days before the deadline in case of payment or internet problems.
