Qassim University Scholarships for International Students (Saudi Arabia)
Updated 9 October 2026
Qassim University is a public university in Buraydah, in Saudi Arabia's Qassim Region. International students can study there on Saudi government scholarships, which are offered as full or partial grants, for postgraduate programmes including master's and PhD degrees.
Application dates: Saudi universities open applications in short windows, usually once per semester. Qassim University's graduate admission page lists an electronic application period from 27 January to 11 February for its next first-semester intake, but confirm the exact year and dates on the official pages before you plan. Join our WhatsApp channel so you don't miss the window.
Two ways to apply
1. If you live outside Saudi Arabia (most international students)
Apply through the official Study in Saudi Arabia platform (studyinsaudi.sa). This route is for:
- International applicants without valid Saudi residency
- GCC nationals
- Residents sponsored by Qassim University or another Saudi university
The platform offers fully funded grants and partial grants for international students at Saudi universities.
2. If you already live in Saudi Arabia
Apply through Qassim University's own admission portal. This route requires:
- Valid residency, with at least one year remaining from the application date
- No sponsorship from a Saudi university
- Age: under 30 for master's and under 35 for PhD
- Degree documents certified by the Saudi Embassy or Cultural Attaché in the country where you earned them
Health programmes aren't open on this track, and final admission depends on approval from Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Education.
