Okwuchukwu Fund Research Grant for Pharmacy Students 2026

The Okwuchukwu Fund gives financial support to final-year pharmacy students for their capstone research project. It is open to indigenes of Imo State studying pharmacy at a Nigerian university.
The fund is named after Chidị Adịọha, a pharmacy graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and opens every year.

- Money paid: around August–September 2027, when the academic year starts
What the grant covers
Financial support for your final-year (capstone) research project or other academic work in progress. The fund does not publish a fixed amount.
Who can apply
- You study Pharmacy at a recognised university in Nigeria
- You are in the first semester of your 4th year
- You are an indigene of Imo State
- You are doing a research project or other relevant academic work
Documents (combine all into ONE PDF)
- Valid student ID
- A document confirming Imo State as your state of origin
- A one-page synopsis of your research or work in progress, and how the funding will help
- A recent passport photograph or professional headshot
- Your academic transcript to date
- A letter of support from your academic adviser, research supervisor or Head of Department

Tips
- Your synopsis is the heart of the application. Say clearly what problem your research addresses, what you need money for (reagents, lab fees, printing, travel for data collection), and roughly what it will cost.
- Ask your supervisor or HOD for the support letter early. December is exam and holiday season.
- Get your state of origin certificate from your local government area before the deadline.
- Keep the PDF small and clearly named, for example Surname_Okwuchukwu_Fund_2026.pdf.
