Nigeria: graduate internship (closed for now)
ExxonMobil's Graduate Intern programme in Lagos is a one-year paid programme for Nigerian graduates who have completed NYSC. The 2026 round asked for:
- A minimum Second Class Upper in accounting, business, social science, engineering, law or a related field
- An NYSC discharge or exemption certificate, with no more than 2 years since completing NYSC
The official posting is now closed. If a website says it is still open, check the official ExxonMobil careers site first. Set a job alert there for "Lagos" so you're notified when the next round opens.
Other countries
ExxonMobil also posts internships and co-ops in places like the United States, Australia and Argentina. Most are for students enrolled at universities in that country who can legally work there.
To find them, go to the careers site and search "intern" with your country.
Before you apply
- Check the right to work. Most internships are for students who can legally work in that country. Read each posting before applying.
- Never pay anyone. ExxonMobil never charges fees to apply or to get an interview. Messages asking for payment "to process your internship" are scams.
- Tailor your CV to the role: projects, lab work, internships and leadership.
- Apply early. Rolling roles close once they are filled.
How to apply
- Go to the ExxonMobil careers site: https://jobs.exxonmobil.com/
- Search "internship" or "intern" and filter by your country.
- Apply online with your CV and academic transcript.
- Create a job alert so new roles come to your email.
