EBID Young Professionals Programme 2026 for West Africans

Updated 12 October 2026 Open

The ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID), the development bank of the Economic Community of West African States, is recruiting talented young West Africans through its 2026 Young Professionals Recruitment Programme.

It's a paid staff position at EBID's headquarters in Lomé, Togo, not an unpaid internship.

What you get

  • A two-year fixed-term contract at Grade P1-1 on EBID's staff salary scale
  • A six-month probation period. If you do well, the contract can become open-ended (permanent).
  • Allowances: post adjustment, housing, transport and a family grant where applicable
  • Pension scheme membership and insurance cover

EBID does not publish the exact salary.

Who can apply

  • Under 30 years old at the time of recruitment
  • A master's degree or equivalent in a field related to the bank's work
  • Fluent in English, French or Portuguese, with a working knowledge of one of the other two
  • Able to work in a team and under pressure, with good research and organisational skills

Note: Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger left ECOWAS in 2025. If you're from one of those countries, check with EBID before applying.
