Updated 7 October 2026 Open

The Erasmus Mundus International Master in Children's Literature, Media and Cultural Entrepreneurship (CLMCE) is a two-year master's degree for students who love stories for young people and want to work with them, whether in research, publishing, media, libraries, education or the creative industries. Applications are now open for the September 2027 intake.

Where you study

CLMCE is run by five European universities:

  • University of Glasgow (Scotland, United Kingdom), the coordinator
  • Aarhus University (Denmark)
  • Nantes University (France)
  • University of Wrocław (Poland)
  • Tilburg University (Netherlands)

Students spend their first semester in Glasgow and their second semester in Aarhus, then move to a third partner university for semester three, depending on the pathway they choose. The fourth semester is for the dissertation. There are also optional summer schools in Canada or Germany. Graduates receive a joint or triple degree (120 ECTS), depending on their pathway.
