Chalmers University Scholarships 2027 in Sweden for International Students
Updated 27 October 2026
Open
Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg is one of Sweden's leading universities for engineering, technology and science. Chalmers offers two scholarships for international master's students from outside the EU/EEA who have to pay tuition fees in Sweden.
Scholarships available
Adlerbert Study Scholarship
- Covers 100% of tuition fees for the two-year master's programme (four semesters)
- For citizens of 143 eligible countries (Chalmers publishes the list on its scholarship page)
- 4 scholarships awarded
IPOET Scholarship
- Covers 75% of tuition fees for the two-year master's programme
- Students who do very well in their first year may get an 85% reduction in their second year
- About 35 scholarships awarded
Both scholarships cover tuition only. They do not include a living allowance, so you'll need to plan how to pay your living costs in Sweden. Non-EU students also need to show proof of funds for the residence permit.
Who can apply
- Citizens of non-EU/EEA countries who must pay tuition fees in Sweden
- Applying for the first year of any Chalmers master's programme starting in August 2027
- An excellent bachelor's degree record
