California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona, or CPP) is a public university near Los Angeles, known for engineering, agriculture, business, hospitality and science. CPP offers more than 400 scholarships to its students, and you can be considered for many of them with one general application.
Scholarship season: 1 October to 2 March. Submit the general application on the Bronco Scholarship Portal by 2 March to be considered for next year's awards. Confirm the exact dates on the portal.
Please note: these are mostly partial scholarships that help with university costs. They aren't usually full scholarships, so plan your other funding too.

- Undergraduate and graduate students
- International students: some scholarships are marked as open to international students. Use the portal's filter to find them.
- Each scholarship has its own eligibility criteria, such as major, grades, financial need or background.

How to apply
- Apply to Cal Poly Pomona and get admitted.
- Log in to the Bronco Scholarship Portal and complete the general application.
- Write your personal statement (750 words or less) about your academic goals, career plans and why a scholarship would help you.
- Check which scholarships you match, and complete any extra questions or short statements they ask for, by each deadline.
Tips
- Apply early in the season. Some scholarships have their own deadlines before 2 March.
- Write a strong personal statement. It's used for many scholarships at once, so it's worth the effort. Read our motivation letter guide.
- International students: focus on scholarships marked as open to international students, and check your visa funding requirements. US universities usually ask for proof of funds before issuing the I-20.
- Don't confuse universities. Cal Poly Pomona is different from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (California Polytechnic State University), which has its own scholarships.
